There have in fact been so much of it that it has even become a meme in and of itself how convoluted the type chart can be. This is the exact reason you see forums being spammed with people making all types of charts to help keep track of it. Especially when the game barely give you anything to refresh your memory on these things. Let's use that as a base and multiply by the number of types which is 12, and you are left with 102 unique interactions you have to keep track of. So in total that's 9 things for a single type you have to keep track of. It has 2 effectiveness, 2 ineffectiveness, 3 resistances and 2 weaknesses. And 12 types that each have loads of different strength/weaknesses. It's not really spoonfeeding when they provide basic information that is essential to the player. ![]() And considering there are only 12 Temtem types its really not that hard to remember type advantages. It's not exactly like it makes the game more complex or harder, it just makes it more of a nuisance. I'd say what you can already do with a pen and paper, should have no problem to be in the game. And to me, it's absolutely not fun at all to have to do such a roundabout and annoying solutions just to know what's effective. But personally, I'm just playing it to have fun. I respect that some people are playing this for a more challenging experience than something like Pokemon. But when you're just playing casually with friends, it just becomes annoying that you have to have the most convuluted chart ever as well as a Wiki for all the Temtems on your other monitors. I'd understand why you are doing some of this for the competitive aspects of the game, like PvP. Because you can't actually refresh your memory of it in-game. The fact that you can't even pull up type advantage chart in-game and have to resort to either memorizing it or pulling it up on the Wiki just makes it all feel like a hassle. That part doesn't make the game harder or more complex, just more of an incovenience. Why not just show us that without having us select each technique respectively. It feels extremly strange that we have to select a technique and then hover over them just to find out how effective the attack will be. I'd say at the very least show us what type the Temtem is. And that's only if we've captured them prior to this. The only indicator we can get is when we hover over them while having a technique chosen. I feel like that at the very least should be shown. ![]() Hell, there's not even an indicator on what type it is. I am a bit confused why there's little to no indicator on what the resistances/weaknesses of the Temtem you're facing is.
